If we can hang on just a liiiiiittle bit longer, winter will soon be over and we can enjoy some sunshine-y spring weather! But as the temperatures rise, so do a lot of hemlines…However, it is possible to dress fashionably AND modestly this spring, so take a look at some great outfit ideas.
Now is the time to bust out those floral skirts again! Here are some ideas for styling them.
Even though a skirt like this is dark in color, it is still cheery and spring-like because of the pale accent flowers. It looks great when the subtle accent colors are repeated in the top.
Here is a great example of a casual floral skirt outfit, where choosing a colour for the top based on the skirt works really well. I like the idea of pairing this with tall boots because spring weather can be unpredictable.
I want to live in this next outfit 24/7! I mean, it looks so comfy yet chic! Even though both the skirt and top are loose, they are not sloppy due to the belt at the waist. I believe this is a look anyone can recreate.
If you are bold and daring, this next look is for you! Pairing stripes and floral takes a bit of guts, bit the result can be very stylish. Since you are already taking a fashion risk by pattern mixing, why not take it a step further with a bold shoe colour (but I admit, I’d play it safe and wear a neutral show)?
Since spring weather can still be a little too chilly for bare legs, so I suggest putting on a pair of fun tights with your next outfit.
First up is some inspiration for adding a bit of pizazz to an otherwise unexciting outfit. I love how the red contrasts with the dress!
If you prefer to blend things a bit more, try wearing tights in a similar hue as your dress.
Now, onto a modest wardrobe staple: maxi skirt!
Here is another example of a very similar outfit as above. The formula is the same (denim jacket, striped top, sold maxi), even though the colours are different.
I love wearing a bright top and scarf with a neutral skirt because it creates visual interest around the face.
I’m going to add one of my own photos for inspiration because it is quite possibly my favourite outfit ever! Wearing a dress, cardigan, and accessories of a similar colour can sometimes look silly but when it’s grounded with neutral shoes, it works!
